One of a kind piece. Part of the KARAMELO archive.
Made from heavyweight 80% cotton / 20% polyester French terry, originally in its raw off-white tone. The piece was dyed yellow, distressed and then locally treated with airbrush, creating variations in intensity and wear across the surface.
The garment features hand-finished distressing and intentional tears, particularly around the hood and throughout the piece, revealing different layers and contrasts within the fabric.
The graphic intervention was hand-painted with a brush, incorporating illustrations, words and fragments of text distributed irregularly across the surface. The piece also revisits elements from The Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus through its writing and graphic composition.
STUDY PIECE is part of the KARAMELO archive and was built through different paths, tests and interventions developed throughout the collection process. The garment preserves traces of that process, bringing together different graphic and material decisions into a single piece. It will not be reproduced in the same way.
